I have an idea for quite a while now.

Some time ago, I've searched for a Pretender icontest community, but I've found none. Or if there is one, I haven't found it.

So I thought it's a shame because I know that there are awesome icon makers in The Pretender fandom.

So I'd like to ask a simple question: would people be interested if I were to create an icontest community for The Pretender.

Also, I'm going to keep this post public for a while and post the link to some Pretender comms. Pimp it to your friends too if you know they are Pretender fans too. If I know that a lot of people are interested, I won't hesitate to open the comm.

I don't think it would work hon. See how you were struggling with the jag icontest? And it's only been over for what, 2 years.

I'd definitely participate, perhaps not every single time (because my life is nothing if not hectic) but at least most of the challenges.

And I'll definitely pimp it around, I've got a few friends who love the show, too.

While I would be interested in a Pretender icontest and would probably enter sporadically (I'm too busy to promise more), I'm not sure how well it would work. My Without a Trace icontest had well over 100 members, and we were lucky if we got 5 or 6 people entering and never more than 20 voting. My NCIS icontest also has well over 100 members and usually gets 8-9 people entering (including mods, as we're allowed to enter as well) and never more than 20 voting. As far as I can ascertain based on other people complaining, that is fairly standard in icontests. And these are shows that are currently on the air. If you do end up doing it, though, I would be interested in seeing what you come up with. I am too lazy to cap my DVDs to get pictures tend to only make icons for challenges and icontests, so it would be a good way for me to get some Pretender icons! :)

I didn't answer the second question because I'm not sure if I would enter the challenges (Probably, but can't promise you anything ^^), but I would definitely participate. The idea is great and worth the try.
